I finally got a copy of True People and I'm very fond of it in terms of
it giving a prety good overview. I was surprised by the Juan Atkins
track-it had (dare I say it) a sort of jungly-break feel to it only done
very well with a Detroit twist. Now that I think about it I cannot name
much Detroit stuff that experiments with breakbeat type rhythms. Could
someone enlighten me if there are some? I kind of thought that was one of
the cool things about Detroit Techno-minimal obvious sample references.
Anyone?
